1. Who we are

IB Tiger ("we", "us") operates the Tiger Science study app at tiger-science.com. We are the data controller.

 

2. Data we collect

• Account: email, name, date of birth, hashed password (stored by Wix Members). • Study data: quiz answers, flashcard reviews, XP, streak, group memberships. • Technical: device type, IP address (for rate limiting), app version.

 

3. Why we collect it

To provide the study service, save your progress across devices, prevent abuse, and (if you consent) send you optional notifications.

 

4. Legal bases (GDPR)

• Contract: providing the service you signed up for. • Legitimate interest: security, fraud prevention. • Consent: optional marketing communications. • Legal obligation: age verification (Art. 8).

 

5. Who we share with

Sub-processors: Wix (auth + hosting), Anthropic (question AI, US), Google (diagram AI, US), Stripe (payments, Ireland). Standard Contractual Clauses in place for US transfers.

 

6. Data retention

Account data: while your account is active. Quiz answers: 30 days (auto-purged). If you delete your account, we erase all your data within 30 days.

 

7. Your rights (GDPR Art. 15-22)

You may access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your data at any time. Use the buttons on the Profile tab, or contact privacy@tiger-science.com.

 

8. Users under 16

We require parental consent for users aged 13-15 and block users under 13 entirely, in line with GDPR Art. 8 and COPPA.

 

9. Changes

If we materially change this policy we will notify you in-app and ask you to re-consent.
